Do you remember your very first friend? Do you remember his or her name? Do you remember how you became friends? Perhaps it was a neighborhood friend, or the kid sitting next to you in school. Maybe it was your cousin, or your cousin’s neighbor. Maybe it was someone you met at church, or scouts, or camp, or daycare. There are many valuable things in life, but friendship may be one of the most important.
My personal definition of a friend is someone who is always looking out for me, someone who will be there when I’m in trouble. A friend has to be someone I trust, and who trusts me in return. Another characteristc in a friend is someone who I can talk to, and makes me laugh. I think above all… the most important trait in a friend, is someone that will help you if you need it.
According to Wikipedia, friendship is the supportive relationship between two people. Best friends enjoy each other’s company and show loyalty to one another. They exchange advice and share their hardships. Many people here at fort Morgan High School have a best friend, if not more.
